Blaire Postman’s odyssey of hyper fixations and giant post-it boards is far more finessed that it seems on the surface. And that’s kind of the point, we as audiences are far too comfortable taking things at face value, that we never really allow ourselves to stop and delve deeper.
Postman’s act is all about the deep dive; we are treated to exposes on early Superbowl Half-Time Shows and Cat appreciation Facebook groups, with the latter cleverly linked to right-wing US Politics. I love comedy that goes into the minutiae of some obscure detail and just runs with it. ...
There’s a slickness to the way Blaire navigates each segment, every one taken from routines she’s performed over the years, but with the added context of having ADHD... in both realms Postman excels, she is as brilliant writer and performer, with an original act all her own.
